How much are half hour / 1 hour guitar lessons usually?
How much are half hour / or 1 hour guitar lessons? Thanks in advance. I just started playing an electric guitar and I think i’d like to get into some lessons..
Excellent idea to get proper instruction.
Music stores generally will offer lessons for $20 or $25 per half hour, and a little less than twice that for an hour.
If you want cheaper, put a note on a bulletin board at the music department of a local college. See if a guitar major answers. They’ll know the latest teaching techniques (having just had those lessons themselves) and they’ll maybe give you lessons at the college for a few dollars less–negotiable.
What game can teach me to play rock guitar for real?
I have learnt to play a plastic guitar really well with guitar hero – what a waste! Is there a program or game that can teach me to play guitar for real?

How to convert guitar chords to piano notes?
I have a few songs that I would love to convert to piano notes (beginner/intermediate level) and I just don’t know how. I googled it and couldn’t find the right thing. Anyone have any idea how to convert guitar chords to piano notes? I will play piano chords if I absolutely have to though I would rather play notes (for the accurate pitch).
It sounds like you are asking how to play a single note on the piano to match the guitar chord. If the guitar chord is C Major, C Minor, C Seventh, C (anything), you simply play a C note on the piano. D Major, Minor, etc, play a D note. These single notes are known as ‘roots’ or ‘tonics’ of chords. This is the same thing a bass player does when he plays with a guitar, although he will often embellish with other notes. I would recommend not just playing a single C note but two C notes with the same hand or both hands to get a fuller sound.
What is the easiest guitar tab you know of?
I’m learning how to play guitar, and I understand how to read tabs. However, I can’t think of any easy songs to play. Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The easiest tab I’ve seen is Beethoven’s "Ode To Joy" You only use 2 different frets and to strings.
How hard is it to learn how to play guitar?
Okay lately I have been more and more into acoustic music and I really like the way the guitar sounds. I bought a learning guitar, not like one of those expensive ones. I know that learning guitar is not easy or fast but can anyone help me in telling me how long it would take to learn how to play. I’m just talking about at-home playing, nothing fancy. Oh and I also think of learning from a professional.
Thanks
Depends on the teacher and how motivated you are to learn and practice. Set goals with the teacher and tell him or her what you want to accomplish. Self taught will frustrate you and you may get some bad habits that will be harder to correct once you start playing more, unless of course you are a super genius. Make it fun and treat it like art.
