can you play guitar hero with two guitars?

I have guitar hero 2 and rock band, is it possible to play guitar hero 2 using both the guitar provided by guitar hero and the one provided by rock band?
If so, how?

Only on the XBOX 360 versions. The PS3 doesn’t allow it, and the wii, can’t find out til 6\22. I’ve done it many times b/c my friends prefer the Rock band controller, on GH, but as for me, I prefer the GH controller all around. So yes, they are compatible on each other’s respected games.

Play Fast On Guitar – Build Up Your Guitar Speed With These Easy Tips

After playing the guitar is a breeze, the next thing that might come into your mind is about playing faster. Maybe you’ve had enough of this beginner junk and you want to know how to really shred now.

Plus, if you want to hold your position as a marketable musician, it’s a good idea to be able to play with speed when you’re auditioning for a band. Check out these simple tips that can help you to play fast on guitar.

1. Work out with weights. It takes a bit of strength and muscle in order to get that pick hitting those strings, so working out with weights can do you a lot of good. Get a pair of relatively small hand weights and do quick exercises for your arms so you can really move that wrist on the guitar.

2. Keep your fingers clean. Dirty guitar strings and frets make it difficult to play fast on guitar, so keeping your hands clean is a good idea. Before each practice session, wash your hands thoroughly to get rid of any greasiness that might sink into your guitar strings.

3. Dry fingers move faster. If you play guitar during the winter months, you’ll notice that your fingers move a bit quicker since the air is naturally drier. Keep your fingers relatively dry and you can increase your playing speed slightly with almost no effort.

4. Break your goal down into sections. When you think about a big goal like learning to play fast on guitar, it might seem a little gargantuan. Separate your speed goal into smaller sections and complete them one at a time so that your dedication stays on point.

5. Strengthen your fingers with a stress ball. It’s easy for your fingers to go stiff when they’re not on the guitar doing some licks, so get some activities to keep your fingers in line when you’re not practicing. Purchase a cheap stress ball for your hand and pump it every so often to give your fingers a small workout.

6. Alternate between development and enjoyment. Focusing on your speed goal is great, but you can frustrate yourself if that’s all that you work on. Try to remember that the guitar is meant for enjoyment and not to stress you out with challenges.

Learning to play fast on guitar takes some hard work and time, but it’s not impossible to do. Keep a strict schedule of when to practice and improve and you should be impressing your friends in no time.

I’ve never play any instrument before. Would it be hard to learn how to play the guitar?

Soo, I REALLY want to learn how to play guitar. I love the sound of it. I never play any instrument in my life. I dont know how to read music at all. Would it be hard to learn how to play the guitar??

Thanks

It won’t be too hard, but it will take a LONG time to get to be any good, so, you’ll have to be very patient and practice a lot.

Search online, or look in your local Yellow Pages to find a guitar teacher and, trust me, after just one or two lessons, you’ll know whether it’s something you’re good at and want to pursue, or something that looked a whole lot easier than it really is.

Good luck!…

You Can Learn To Play A Guitar

A person can learn how to play a guitar without a whole lot of extra stuff. There are gadgets and a lot of bells and whistles you can purchase if you choose but the only thing that is a must have is a guitar.

Even this does not have to be one of the expensive models. There has been a lot of great music played on not so great guitars over the years. The important thing is the guitar you choose be in decent shape. The first item you need to check is the action of your guitar. The action is a term that guitar players use to refer to how high the strings are.

The action on your guitar needs to be set at a reasonable level. This is most important because if the action is too high the guitar will be hard to play and if it is too low the strings will buzz. The guitar should note even all the way down the neck.

Another important thing to check is to make sure the intonation is ok. To check this play the smallest string open then play it again at the 12th fret. The notes should be in tune with each other. If there is a big difference in the notes the guitar has some possible major problems.

When you are picking out your first guitar it makes little difference in brand name or whether the guitar is a classical or steel string guitar. The notes are the same so get the best guitar you can afford without getting crazy.

Learning to play a guitar brings a new set of problems you have most likely not experienced before. You will find muscles cramping and sore fingers coming along after you have played for a little while. You are using muscles normally used for other things so it takes a little time to condition these muscles to work with you.

As you play you will start to get calluses on the tips of your fingers. As you push down the strings this hard buildup on your fingers will help you out a lot. A person starting out on his guitar playing may find his fingers bleeding until the calluses build up.

To be successful in learning to play a guitar you will need to practice every day. Mastering this wonderful instrument takes a lot of time and energy. Practice until the slow clumsy movements become second nature. This is when you will discover the true rewards of playing the guitar.
